Enticed by the blue sky and vast vistas of the Southern Hemisphere, Siska relocated to Sydney in 2010 and continued her creative work on diverse range of projects.

APOORVA GUPTA
Junior Designer

Apoorva has always been fascinated by the built environment and wanted to make use of her creativity within this field. She started her journey with a five-year course of architecture and then worked as a Junior Architect in New Delhi, India. Within a short space of time, she experimented with her role as an Architect and a Landscape Designer where she discovered lighting design.

Curious about lighting, in 2022, Apoorva made a bold decision to move to Sydney and took up a postgraduation in Illumination and Sustainable Design at the University of Sydney. Her fascination with lights goes back to her childhood memories of the Indian festival ‘Diwali’ where she would enjoy the world around her lit up amazingly. Being an architect, her deep-rooted appreciation for how light can transform and elevate a space intensified.

During her studies, she was exposed to the technical world of lighting under the guidance of industry renowned lecturers at the University of Sydney. Her transition from architecture to lighting design is fuelled by a curiosity to explore the transformative power of light in shaping spaces and evoke emotions for users.

Apoorva joined LightStudioMG in 2024 as a Junior Lighting Designer. Her passion, determination and technical skills are highly commended and valued.
